Make the best out of whatever you have
One of the things that sports has taught me is that you need to try and make the best out of what you’ve got. Tonight, I had a super bad ride. It was miserable. My legs were tired, my lungs were killing me, my chest was tight. I was just not feeling it for some damn reason tonight. I often compare myself to other people. I find its the only way I can improve. I think though that the bug of...

Day one Herbalife
Okay so day one of Herbalife. Not bad at all. My friend and supplier instructed me on how to best use the product and it went well. I actually swam quite a bit today so I actually ate 1800 cals which she said is normal and good. She instructed me to never fall below 1400, which I agree with. It just isn’t healthy weight loss. The shakes are good. They aren’t amazing but they are...

Bent over rows...
…are no freaking joke. They hurt. Only 60 lbs…but still. Like weightlifting during the week. Burn 300 cals in 30 minutes and I don’t kill my lungs. I’ll take it :)

Riding=de-stress to the max
Can not wait to go on a freaking ride today. So stressed out from so many different places. Stoked though! I lost 2 pounds in the last couple of weeks! With the Herbalife I’ll be able to get to my goal weight much faster and then I’ll be able to maintain a healthy weight normally! So happy about this. But yeah…definitely need a ride to de-stress from all the other S going on.

New start
Okay so I’m actually going to be starting a new plan. My friend is a distributor of Herbalife and she has been seeing/getting amazing results from their fitness program. I’ve done my research on the stuff. It’s all food based and its not chemical dependent. So I’m not putting shit into my body. Also, UCLA was the one who did the pilot program on the products so I’m...

And in other news...(other fitness news)
Did a really nice relaxing workout today. Fitocracy seems to think that it was really hard and it gives me like mega points for it. I don’t really think its all that difficult what I did today to be honest. For me, weightlifting and swimming are like second nature…they aren’t that difficult. Running and biking…holy hell.

Innovation for Endurance: There is No Such Thing... →

“When you say you are ‘slow,’ do you mean compared to the 93% of people who can’t run a mile without stopping, or the majority of Americans who never exercise?” We asked a runner this question at a recent race expo. She was trying to convince us that she was a “slow runner” and we were…

Cakes have gotten a bad rap... →
I like this. It’s true. Sweets don’t make you fat…you make you fat. Indulging every once in a while isn’t bad. It’s indulging constantly that adds up.

“Cakes have gotten a bad rap. People equate virtue with turning down dessert. There is always one person at the table who holds up her hand when I serve the cake. No, really, I couldn’t she says,...

Best ride so far
I clocked a 15 miler in exactly one hour. I’m pretty proud of that since we did some hills that normally wipe me out. It was pretty awesome and I’m so glad that I pushed myself even more this ride.
Next goal: 15 miler in 45 minutes.

More perverted shit cyclists say...
1) Did you lose your nipple back there?
2) Shit I pinched my nipple!
3) Stick the tube in farther.
4) You don’t have a strong enough pump.
5) Did you get it in all the way? (air pump)
